Down with boredom: you can also have fun at home!

As we all know, winter is very often a gloomy, rainy and cold month. Children can very rarely play outdoors, so often mothers will hear their children saying: "Mommy, I'm bored !!!"

Rather than just putting them in front of the TV to watch cartoons, you need to use your imagination to turn your living room or bedroom into a playground. If you don't have enough imagination or you think you've already tried everything there is to try, don’t despair! Today we here with simple creative suggestions on how to turn your home into a magical kingdom. And you too will discover that winter is not as boring as you thought!

A sofa fortress!

Building a fortress in the lounge is a classic game that is always so much fun! You will need towels, old sheets and as many cushions you can find in the house; now push the sofa and armchairs next to each other and before you know it you will have a cosy fortress that you can use for lots of role-playing games! One day you can pretend you’re living with an Indian tribe, another day you can wake up in a Medieval castle, or even turn it into the den of a cute little forest animal.

Let's build a tower!

A simple but clever idea is to build things! You will need shoe boxes, yet more boxes of different sizes and lots of paper rolls; now ask your kids to build a really high tower. The magic starts when you're done! Pretend to be giants and have fun together ... making your tower crash to the ground!

Can you walk like an ant?

Small children just love pretending to be animals, imitating the sounds they make and the way they walk! Turn this into a game! Put a stuffed toy or another object on the other side of the room and tell your child to walk to the toy like an animal. For example, you can tell your child to take two steps like elephant, one jump like a kangaroo and two steps like an ant. You are sure to have so many laughs!

These are just some ideas to help you turn cold rainy days into fun days. We would love to know what you do to stop your children from being bored!
